Get:Outdoors is more than just a retail store and outfitter. The staff at Get:Outdoors are outdoor educators with a passion for paddlesports. Our staff wants you to enjoy your paddling experience and the places you paddle. We strive to be a vital part of the paddling community by educating our customers and by being key supporters of local and national environmental conservation groups as well as local outdoor educators and youth organizations.

We believe that all paddlers, whether you’re paddling flatwater or whitewater, in a kayak or a canoe, are members of a community that has a common bond: a love of the outdoors. Get:Outdoors helps to expand and educate the paddling community through our free demos held on local lakes in the Triad and through clinics offered in the store. We offer structured classes taught by American Canoe Association certified instructors and hold our monthly basic safety kayak classes in the hopes that new paddlers will learn to be safe paddlers. The staff at Get:Outdoors leads weekly kayak trips to local lakes throughout the warm months in hopes to get more people out on the water and enjoying the abundance of regional paddling opportunities. We also offer discounts on paddling accessories to members of local paddling clubs, local Boy Scout troops, and many other local civic organizations.

Other shops try to offer as many outdoor pursuits as they can fit into their stores. At Get:Outdoors, we are only a paddling shop. Although we have a small assortment of camping accessories and clothing, paddlesports is our primary focus and passion. Whether you are new to the sport of kayaking or canoeing, a seasoned paddler, or a kayak fisherman, we have something for you. We strive to provide the highest level of customer service and expect you, the customer, to provide us with valuable feedback so that we may continue to maintain and exceed this standard.
