Sales Policies

Price match

We will match the regular price of any kayak or canoe from competitor. Canoe or kayak must be of same quality and model year. Get:Outdoors reserves right to verify cost of competitor.

Special Orders

We may be able to special order product not currently in stock or item not normally sold by store. Canoes and kayaks must be added to existing scheduled shipment or freight cost of $125.00 will be added to purchase price. All small items may be subject to a $10.00 non-refundable special order fee. Check with staff for product availability and shipment schedules.

Payment options

We accept Visa, MasterCard, DiscoverCard, American Express, certified checks and personal checks. Personal checks must clear before your product(s) can be shipped.

Layaways

We offer 90 days same as cash layaways with a deposit of at least 10% of purchase price. Product on layaway not payed within 90 days will be returned to stock and payment returned in form of store credit. Full payment must be received before product can be released. Cancelled layaways are subject to restocking fee of 10% of purchase price.

Trade-ins

Used canoes or kayaks may be traded-in for credit towards new purchases based on store needs. Trade-in value is determined by store manager and may not exceed purchase price of new product.

Returns

We accept returns and exchanges for new and unused product within 30 days of purchase date. Payment may only be returned in the same form as payment received or given as store credit. Cash and check refunds totaling more than $50.00 will be returned in the form of Get:Outdoors check within one week of purchase date. Installed racks and boats may be subject to re-stocking fee. Product may be exchanged only for like item without receipt. Refunds must have accompanying receipt.

Warranty

Product covered under warranty must be returned to Get:Outdoors for evaluation. New product warranties must be verfied through manufacturer via Get:Outdoors and subject to discretion of manufacturer. Used product purchased from Get:Outdoors has 90 day warranty against materials and workmanship and subject to discretion of Get:Outdoors management. All canoe and kayak repairs and installations performed by Get:Outdoors will be under warranty for 90 days covering workmanship and materials.

Check Policy

Personal and business checks totaling more that $100.00 are subject to bank verification. All returned checks will be subject to $30.00 fee.

Shipping

Get:Outdoors offers same day or next day shipping for in stock items. All special order items are shipped as soon as they are received from the manufacturer. Accessory orders are shipped via UPS ground unless otherwise requested. Canoes and Kayaks are shipped via common carrier. All plastic boats can be shipped to a business address or shipping terminal in the continental U.S. (Call 1-800-450-6819 For Shipping Quote). International orders shipping to the Bongo warehouse are approved as business addresses and we are able to ship plastic boats to the Bongo warehouse. We will gladly ship your boat to your home address for an additional $45.00. Special web promotions at clearance time may include reduced freight options but will be limited to the specific promotions and time frame defined by the promotion.

Trip & Instruction Policies

Free Lesson

We give a free basic safety class with every new kayak or canoe purchase. Classes are based on availability and will be scheduled with regular group lesson. Classes occur regularly throughout the warm-weather months. Basic safety classes are available for purchase. Classes are limited to 12 particpants. Reservations are required.

Instruction

We offer wide-ranging on-water instruction from a basic safety class to swift water rescue. All basic classes are led by experienced instructors certified in American Heart Association CPR and first aid. Advanced courses and trips are led by American Canoe Association (ACA) certified instructors and individuals trained as Wilderness First Responders (WMI). Classes are limited to 6-12 participants. Reservations are required.

Trips

Day outings and extended overnight trips are available for a wide-range of skill levels. We offer weekly after-work paddles at local lakes throughout the warm months, full moon paddles, weekend getaways, week-long Florida Everglades trips in the winter, and many more. All trips have limited spaces available and extended trips are often limited to 8 participants. Reservations are required.

Custom Trips

We offer custom day outings or extended trips for your group or club. Each trip can be modified for skill level or location. Contact the store manager for trip leader availability and specific trip options and needs.

Reservation Policy

All trips and classes have limited spots available. Payment must be made in full to confirm reservation. Cancellations must be made at least 30 days in advance of trip departure date. Cancellations occurring less than 30 days but more than 10 days prior to trip will incur charge of 50% from total trip cost. This 50% charge may be applied to reservation of future trip. Cancellations occuring 10 days prior to trip or no-shows will incur charge of 100% of trip cost. No-shows or cancellalations within 24 hours of Basic Safety Class will forfeit the free class. Individual trips may vary in reservation policy. Consult trip leader or management with specific trip policies. Participants of classes and trips cancelled by Get:Outdoors will receive full refund. Get:Outdoors may cancel classes and trips based on inclement weather and insufficent registration.

Risk Management

All participants are required to fill out a liability waiver before participating in each activity. Extended trips and some classes require additional risk management paperwork. Some extended trips and classes require pre-trip meetings and evaluation prior to participating in activity. Contact store management or trip leader for specific trip and class requirements.

Trip Leader Authority

Get:Outdoors and its trip leaders have full authority to modify trips or disqualify trip and class participants. Get:Outdoors will cancel trips at site and time of departure. No-shows due to perceived inclement weather will fall within reservation policy listed above. Trips and instruction may be cancelled at any time at discretion of trip leaders and store management.
